Our Story

In the spring of 2013, a dedicated group of educators and citizens in Waterbury came together to create a public charter school aimed at serving the community's children from Pre-K through 8th grade. Brass City Charter School opened its doors that fall, welcoming 114 eager students in the historic St. Margaret’s School building. Today, BCCS proudly serves 360 students, offering a free, high-quality education that emphasizes both academic excellence and character development.

Impact

Brass City Charter School is committed to closing the achievement gap faced by urban underserved students. Through a rigorous curriculum and a supportive environment, BCCS empowers students to lead meaningful lives and contribute positively to their community.
