Branch Lutheran Schools

Our Story

Branch Lutheran Schools is a dedicated nonprofit organization affiliated with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). It supports six schools in Haiti, including three elementary schools located at orphanages in Port-au-Prince, a middle school in Pilate, and two preschool-kindergartens in Les Palmes and Cap-Haitien. These institutions serve hundreds of students and employ over 60 teachers, striving to overcome the barriers of poverty through education.

Impact

This year, a heartfelt request was made to help send 91 children to Branch Schools for the 2024-2025 school year. These children, eager to learn but lacking funds for uniforms, shoes, and schoolbooks, were supported by generous donations. Together, $15,150 was raised, surpassing the goal and ensuring these children can attend school.
