About Blackland Prairie Raptor Center
Founded in August 2004, the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center is dedicated to educating the public about the importance of birds of prey in our ecosystem. Located in North Texas, this nonprofit organization began with a small group of passionate individuals who built appropriate caging for non-releasable raptors. In its first year, BPRC reached over 5,000 people through educational presentations at schools, festivals, and camps.
Impact of BPRC
In 2022, BPRC achieved a remarkable milestone by providing care for 806 rehabilitation patients, underscoring its vital role in wildlife conservation and the community's need for ongoing support.
