Our Story

Incorporated in November 1966 in Anchorage, Boys & Girls Clubs of Southcentral Alaska began as the 'Boys Club of Alaska.' Initially offering programs like Babe Ruth Baseball and intramural basketball, the organization expanded in 1974 with the addition of The Girls Club, providing sports opportunities for girls in the Anchorage area. Today, Boys & Girls Clubs of Southcentral Alaska operates 23 Clubhouse locations across the state, including a licensed Child Development Center in Anchorage for children ages 6 weeks to 10 years. Our diverse athletics programs span all seasons, featuring basketball, cheerleading, flag football, soccer, and volleyball.

Our Impact

In 2023, Boys & Girls Clubs of Southcentral Alaska positively impacted the lives of over 5,016 children, providing more than 112,000 meals. With 70% of participants in our 15 rural clubs being Alaska Native, our reach extends to children from various backgrounds across the state.
