Established on March 16, 1994, the Willie Mae Mitchell Community Opportunity Center began as a community-based youth organization. In 2001, it became part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, adopting the name Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Texas (BGCSCT). Serving Caldwell, Comal, Guadalupe, and Hays counties, BGCSCT provides a safe haven for children, fostering growth through caring adult relationships and life-enhancing programs.
Today, thousands of boys and girls from low-income neighborhoods benefit from BGCSCT's tailored programs. These initiatives offer strong moral guidance, positive role models, and educational opportunities that steer youth away from crime and failure.
