Our Story

Founded in 1885, Boys & Girls Aid Society of Oregon was established to support parentless children like Henry, who had nowhere to go. As the first organization of its kind in Oregon, it focused on connecting children with families for adoption rather than treating them as laborers in orphanages. Over the years, it has become a vital part of Oregon's child welfare framework, influencing the establishment of the Department of Human Services.

Impact

Boys & Girls Aid has significantly increased the number of children leaving their care to join permanent families, addressing the challenges faced by youth in foster care.
