Our Story

Boys & Girls Village, Inc. was founded in 1942 by New Haven County High Sheriff J. Edward Slavin and Daniel J. Adley. Originally established as a small work farm for boys, BGV has transformed into a leading provider of behavioral health, education, and permanency planning services for at-risk youth and their families in Connecticut.
