Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire

Our Story

Founded in 1957, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Sioux Empire has a rich history of serving the youth of Sioux Falls. Originally starting as separate clubs for boys and girls, the two organizations merged in 1987 to form Youth Enrichment Services. In 2010, the club became a chartered member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, officially opening its doors in April 2011. This unique entity serves children from 4 weeks to 18 years, providing a safe and nurturing environment.

Impact on Youth

Participation in quality early learning programs significantly prepares children for kindergarten. An impressive 89% of Club youth feel empowered to stand up for what is right, while 91% ensure everyone feels valued. Furthermore, 97% of Club teens anticipate graduating high school, with 80% applying for post-secondary education.
