Our Story

The Boys and Girls Club of Elgin was founded on November 9, 1993, in response to escalating drug and gang issues in the community. Established through a partnership with the City of Elgin and the Elgin Police Department, this organization provides a safe haven for youth. Over the years, it has expanded to serve over 30 sites, including new locations in Aurora and South Elgin, empowering young people to become productive, caring, and responsible citizens.

Impact

In 2023, the Boys and Girls Clubs of North Central Illinois served nearly 1,500 youth daily across 36 sites. The organization focuses on academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character building, ensuring that children and teenagers have a safe place to grow, learn, and develop essential skills.
