The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem, established in 1869, is the oldest Club in Massachusetts and the second oldest in the country. Originally founded as the Salem Fraternity, the organization has evolved to focus on mentoring and challenging youth in the community. In 1990, the name was officially changed to reflect a commitment to serving both boys and girls, providing a safe space for personal growth and community engagement.
With over 90% of alumni graduating high school, the Club emphasizes character development, education, and healthy lifestyles. Members learn valuable life lessons that equip them for future success.
