Our Story

The Box 414 Association was established in 1946 by former auxiliary firefighters from the Baltimore City Fire Department. Originally named the Fire Fans of Baltimore, this organization was created to provide essential rehabilitation services at emergency scenes. The name 'Box 414' pays homage to the fire alarm box number used during the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904. Over the years, the organization has expanded its support to both the Baltimore City Fire and Police Departments, offering canteen services during major emergencies and events.
