Our Story

In August 1926, the Bowling Green City Hospital opened its doors as a city-sponsored non-profit hospital, dedicated to providing exceptional medical and surgical care to all individuals, regardless of race, creed, or financial status. Over the decades, the hospital evolved, becoming jointly owned by the City and County in 1951 and later transforming into the Bowling Green-Warren County Community Hospital Corporation in 1977. The new Medical Center at Bowling Green opened on March 8, 1980, serving over 10 counties in Southcentral Kentucky as a regional medical center.

Despite the name changes, the mission has remained steadfast: to improve healthcare access and quality for the community. In 2016, the brand Med Center Health was established, reflecting a commitment to diversifying health services and enhancing community well-being.
