Bowling Green Community Foundation

Our Story

The Bowling Green Community Foundation was established in 1993 by members of the Leadership BG charter class. After extensive research into community foundations, they developed a marketing plan and operational methods, aligning with the Toledo Community Foundation for investment purposes while maintaining control over fundraising and fund distribution. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded grants annually, starting in 1997.

Impact

The Foundation aims to improve the quality of life in Bowling Green through volunteer efforts and philanthropy. Grants have supported children’s groups, arts organizations, senior projects, and downtown beautification efforts.
