Our Story

Commonwealth Land Trust was founded in 1985 to provide supportive housing for Massachusetts’ most vulnerable residents. By developing and managing affordable supportive housing units, the organization focuses on preserving neighborhoods and preventing homelessness.

With over 90% of residents remaining housed, Commonwealth Land Trust has successfully provided housing and supportive services to formerly homeless individuals and families. An impressive 95% of residents maintain permanent housing, while 92% effectively manage their healthcare needs.
