Our Story

Boston Area Gleaners is dedicated to tackling food insecurity by recovering surplus food from local farms and distributing it to families in need. With over 15 years of experience in food recovery, the organization has recently secured a new facility to enhance its operations.

In Massachusetts, where 1 in 6 households face food insecurity, Boston Area Gleaners recovers over 10,000 pounds of food annually, providing nearly 56,700 servings of fresh produce to those in need.
