Born Dancing emerged from the vision of director Melissa van Wijk, who combined her expertise as a professional dancer and special educator. Since its inception in 2014, the organization has championed the belief that dance should be accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. With programs launched in Bronx schools, Born Dancing has transformed the lives of many through the art of dance.
