About the Borinqueneers Park Education Alliance

The Borinqueneers Park Education Alliance is dedicated to preserving and promoting Hispanic cultural heritage through the establishment of a veterans memorial for the Puerto Rican 65th Infantry Regiment, known as the Borinqueneers. This regiment holds a unique place in history as the only Hispanic-segregated unit in the U.S. Army, recognized for their valor during the Korean Conflict, where they were awarded the Congressional Gold Medal.
