Booklyn is dedicated to promoting artists’ books as vital art and research materials, supporting artists and organizations committed to environmental and social justice.
In 2023, Booklyn facilitated eight zine workshops for the Mixteca Organization and four Zine Jam workshops in NYC public parks, making bookmaking accessible to all. Collaborations with the Brooklyn Community Pride Center and Public Art Fund resulted in 16 free workshops, empowering participants through storytelling and creativity.
