Our Story

The Bon Air Fire Company was founded in 1918 by a group of 22 civic-minded individuals who formed the Bon Air Civic Association. Initially meeting in homes, they established the Bon Air Fire Brigade with basic firefighting tools. Over the years, the organization has evolved, acquiring motorized firefighting apparatus and expanding its services to meet the community's needs. In 1947, the company became a legal entity and has since been committed to providing essential emergency services and promoting fire safety education in Haverford Township.
