The Bolivian Quaker Education Fund began in 2001, rooted in the evangelical Quakers’ first missionary efforts in Bolivia in 1920. Established to provide scholarships for post-secondary education of Bolivian Friends, BQEF addresses the urgent need for educational support for young Friends in Bolivia.
From 2003 to 2023, BQEF has supported 223 young Quaker Friends in achieving their educational goals, enabling them to graduate from university and become professionals.
