Ending Period Poverty
Period Stigma

Our Story

Boise Period Project is Idaho's first nonprofit dedicated to ending period poverty. Since 2018, this organization has been committed to collecting menstrual products and assembling period packs for individuals in need throughout Boise and the Treasure Valley. Through strategic partnerships with mutual aid groups, nonprofits, and local businesses, period packs are efficiently distributed, while also challenging societal stigmas surrounding menstruation.

Impact

As of 2021, 1 in 7 Idaho menstruators live below the Federal Poverty Line, and 2 in 5 menstruators in the U.S. struggle to afford period products. Food stamps and government assistance do not cover these essential supplies, making the work of Boise Period Project crucial for the community.
