Our Story

In 1962, a tragic event led to the formation of Boca Raton Regional Hospital. After the untimely loss of Gloria and Robert Drummond’s children, the community united to create a healthcare facility that would ensure access to quality medical care. Eighteen dedicated women, led by Gloria, formed the Debbie-Rand Memorial Service League, raising funds through bake sales, fiestas, and a black-tie Ball. Their efforts culminated in the opening of Boca Raton Regional Hospital in 1967, which has since evolved into a nationally-ranked medical center with 400 beds and over 800 physicians.

Impact

Boca Raton Regional Hospital is recognized as one of only four Comprehensive Stroke Centers in Palm Beach County, earning accolades for its exceptional care. Ranked #1 in Palm Beach County by U.S. News & World Report, the hospital continues to set the standard for healthcare excellence.
