Our Story
Founded in 1998 as a modest soup kitchen, Boca Helping Hands has grown into one of South Florida's largest nonprofit service providers. With a dedicated team of 23 staff members and over 300 core volunteers, the organization assists nearly 35,000 clients annually. In 2023 alone, BHH distributed 114,525 pantry bags and served more than 100,000 hot meals across five locations in Palm Beach County.
Boca Helping Hands is committed to expanding access to affordable medical, dental, and behavioral care through partnerships with Genesis Community Health and Florida Atlantic University's Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing Community Based Clinics. The BHH Backpacks Program ensures food-insecure elementary school students receive weekend meals, serving 13 schools in South Palm Beach County.
