Our Story
Founded in March 2005, Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society emerged from the passion of horse enthusiasts dedicated to rescuing horses and other equines in Texas and Arkansas. Publicly announced by President Jennifer Williams at the American Quarter Horse Association’s annual convention, BEHS quickly became a beacon of hope for neglected equines. Since its inception, the organization has rescued over 1,100 horses, donkeys, and mules, collaborating with law enforcement to combat neglect and educate horse owners.
