Our Story
The La Crosse Blue Stars were founded in 1964 as a color guard and quickly expanded to include brass and percussion, evolving into a competitive drum & bugle corps. As one of the founding members of Drum Corps International, the Blue Stars became a powerhouse in the 1970s. Despite facing financial challenges in the early 80s, the corps reorganized and continued to compete, achieving remarkable success as 19-time finalists and World Champions in 1989, 1993, 2001, and 2003. In 2006, the corps made a triumphant return to World Class competition, captivating audiences across the United States.
