The Blue Ridge Abortion Fund has been funding abortion since 1989, starting from a community effort in Charlottesville where members collected money in a pickle jar to help someone pay for their abortion. Over the years, it has evolved into an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial support for abortion care.
