Our Story

In 2013, the Rim Fire devastated 250,000 acres of the Stanislaus National Forest and Yosemite National Park. This tragedy inspired the founders of Blue Forest to create innovative funding solutions for forest restoration. The result was the Forest Resilience Bond (FRB), a groundbreaking financial model that unites various stakeholders to share the costs of restoration projects, unlocking private and philanthropic capital for vital ecosystem recovery.

Our Impact

To date, Blue Forest has successfully deployed $14.5 million for ecosystem resilience, protecting 18,140 acres and safeguarding 62,410 acre-feet of water supply through its restoration initiatives.
