Our Story

The Blackstone River Watershed Council was formed through the merger of two dedicated organizations: the Friends of the Blackstone and the Blackstone River Watershed Council. With roots dating back to 1990, the organization has been a champion for local cleanups and community involvement. Since its establishment in 1997, BRWC has focused on watershed planning and advocacy, becoming the official stewards of the Blackstone River in 2006.

Our Impact

Over nearly 30 years, BRWC has successfully removed more than 25,000 tires and 1,000 tons of solid waste from the Blackstone River and its watershed. Additionally, hundreds of school children have been educated about river stewardship and safety.

Why Donate?

Your donations directly support the BRWC's efforts to maintain a clean river and watershed, fund educational programs, and provide essential equipment. As an all-volunteer organization, 100% of donations go directly to these impactful initiatives.
