Our Story

The Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor was established in 1986 to preserve, promote, and celebrate the historic, natural, and recreational resources of the Blackstone River Valley. This area is recognized as the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution, and the organization collaborates with community partners to provide leadership and resources for the benefit of current and future generations.

Impact

With over $6 million awarded in grants, the Blackstone Heritage Corridor has generated more than $15 million in community project impacts, supporting over 60 nonprofits and enhancing the historic and recreational treasures of the Corridor.
