Our Story
The Blackhawk Chorus began in 1991 with a small group of 12 women seeking voice lessons from the renowned soprano coloratura Diane Gilfether. Over three decades, the chorus has flourished under her guidance, growing to approximately 120 singers, both men and women. With the recent transition to new director Ken Abrams in May 2020, the chorus continues to thrive as a family, offering laughter, comfort, and cherished friendships.
