The Black United Fund of Texas Inc (BUFTX) is a proactive institution dedicated to fostering positive growth in underserved communities. By creating programs and providing essential resources, BUFTX works at the grassroots level to help individuals and organizations with limited resources achieve self-sufficiency. With a focus on smart fund allocation and minimal staffing, the organization ensures that every dollar goes towards impactful initiatives.

Making a Lasting Impact

BUFTX's programming spans eight critical areas: Community Health, Culture, Youth Development, Workforce Development, Technology, Food Security, Environment and Conservation, and Social Justice. Notably, the Houston Agri-Power (HAP) program was selected for funding by the USDA and TIME Inc, while the Vulnerable to Vibrant program received recognition from the EPA's Community Change Program.
