Founded in 2013, Black Swan Academy is dedicated to empowering Black youth in underserved communities of Washington, D.C. Through civic leadership and engagement, the organization equips young leaders with essential skills to become active catalysts for change in their communities.

Impacting Lives and Communities

With a focus on advocacy, organizing, and public policy, Black Swan Academy has supported 80 Black youth in middle and high school. Nearly 900 students participated in Civic Leadership Summits, while outreach efforts reached over 8,500 community members, fostering a culture of service and advocacy.
