Our Story
Black Mountain College Museums and Arts Center is dedicated to preserving the rich history and exploring the legacy of Black Mountain College, a progressive liberal arts institution founded in 1933 in North Carolina. Known for its avant-garde approach to education and the arts, the college attracted influential figures such as Josef and Anni Albers, Robert Rauschenberg, and John Cage. Today, the museum and arts center continue to honor this legacy through dynamic exhibitions, educational programs, and community engagement.
