Black Men Heal

Our Story

Black Men Heal is a grassroots nonprofit organization founded in 2018 to tackle the inequities in mental health care faced by marginalized Black and brown communities. With a focus on the mental health needs of Black men, the organization aims to eliminate barriers such as affordability, cultural incompetency, and stigma associated with seeking therapy.

Impact

Providing free mental health treatment, Black Men Heal has successfully paired men with therapists of color, resulting in 75% of participants continuing therapy after their initial free sessions. This demonstrates a strong therapeutic alliance and commitment to mental wellness.
