Founded in 2020 by Atiyah Harmon, Black Girls Love Math addresses the underrepresentation of Black girls in STEM fields. The organization fosters a positive math identity among young Black girls through culturally responsive teaching practices and community support.
Over the past four years, Black Girls Love Math has reached over 250 girls through its programs, workshops, and mentorships, cultivating positive math identities and creating supportive spaces for Black girls to excel in mathematics.
