Our Story

The Black Farmers Market (BFM) was established to uplift Black farmers and entrepreneurs, starting with its sister organization, Black August in the Park, in 2015. The inaugural market took place in 2018, and since then, it has grown to include over 30 Black farmers and entrepreneurs, creating vital wholesale opportunities and improving access to healthy food in underserved areas.

Our Impact

BFM has significantly enhanced the local community by facilitating wholesale opportunities for farmers, establishing a fund for new projects, and raising awareness about the importance of Black farmers.
