Our Story

The Black Diamond Historical Society was established by passionate locals, including Carl and Ann Steiert, to safeguard the rich history of Black Diamond, Washington. The society successfully restored the original railroad depot, which opened as a museum on June 6, 1982, coinciding with the town's centennial celebration.
