Our Story

In 2015, Nancy Korsah began her journey to uplift Black professionals by assisting colleagues with resume writing and career advancement while working at a major bank. Despite facing challenges for advocating pay equity, her dedication led to over 400 promotions by 2017. By 2018, she had helped more than 1,400 minorities secure higher-paying jobs. In 2020, the Black Business Ball was launched to celebrate Black-owned businesses and provide small grants. The establishment of the Black Business Enterprises Fund in 2022 formalized this mission, expanding support for Black entrepreneurs and fostering economic empowerment.

Impact

Since its inception, BBE has represented 3.3 million members, assisted in launching new businesses, and distributed significant grants to Black-owned businesses, driving economic growth and community advancement.
