Our Story

The Black Boys in Tech program began in April 2022, inspired by the requests of mothers in Cincinnati for interactive STEM experiences for their Black sons. In collaboration with A.M. Lewis Enterprises LLC and Asad Brand Literature, BBIT was established to provide mentorship and out-of-school programming. In September 2022, BBIT launched a 12-week Drones Course aimed at enriching STEM knowledge and career development for Black boys in grades 6-9. The program celebrated its first cohort graduation on December 3, 2022.

Black Boys in Tech is dedicated to closing the racial wealth gap by nurturing STEM talent in marginalized communities.
