Founded in 1988 in Sacramento, California, Birthing Project USA is the only global African American maternal and child health program in the United States. What began as a community service project to lower infant mortality has blossomed into a vital network supporting pregnant women and teens across over 70 communities in the U.S. and 13 countries worldwide.
