Our Story

Founded in 2002 by three friends, Birthday Wishes began with a simple yet profound mission: to bring joy to homeless children through birthday celebrations. What started as a single party at a shelter has blossomed into a movement, serving over 200 family shelters and transitional living facilities across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Long Island, New York. With the help of around 500 dedicated volunteers each month, Birthday Wishes ensures that every child knows their birthday is special.

Impact

Since its inception, Birthday Wishes has celebrated the birthdays of over 26,000 homeless children annually, helping to mitigate the trauma of homelessness and foster a sense of normalcy and joy.
