Our Story

Founded in 2014 by Kelly Raines and Nik Huffman, Birdsall House Early Childhood Center was born from a passion for child development. With over 20 years of experience in early childhood education, Kelly envisioned a nurturing environment that embraces the Reggio Emilia philosophy and the teachings of Magda Gerber. After securing a location, the center opened its doors in March 2015, focusing on play-based learning and fostering positive interactions among children. Since receiving non-profit status in March 2016, Birdsall House has expanded its reach, providing quality childcare that emphasizes exploration and creativity.
