Our Story

BIO Girls was founded in 2013 by Missy Heilman in Fargo, North Dakota, with a mission to improve the self-esteem of adolescent girls. Through mentorship, positive messaging, and non-competitive physical activity, the program has expanded from a single location to over 100 locations across the Midwest, impacting the lives of over 3,000 girls each year.
