About Big Horn Hospital Association

Established in 1959, Big Horn Hospital Association has been a cornerstone of healthcare in Hardin, Montana. Originally known as Big Horn County Memorial Hospital, it has evolved to meet the growing medical needs of the community. In 1974, a nursing home was constructed, followed by the establishment of Big Horn Senior Living in 1982, which includes long-term care and independent living options. Responding to public demand, the facility transitioned to include assisted living units in 1999.

In 2004, Big Horn Hospital became a critical access hospital, ensuring that residents of Big Horn County and surrounding areas have access to essential healthcare services. With a dedicated community board of directors, the hospital focuses on providing economical, quality medical care to approximately 13,000 residents spread over five thousand square miles.
