Our Story

The Big Hoof Foundation is committed to saving Draft Horses that have faced neglect and abuse after years of hard work. These majestic animals often find themselves sold to slaughter or abandoned when they can no longer serve. The foundation rescues, rehabilitates, and re-homes these horses, providing them with a loving and humane environment where they can heal and regain trust in humanity.

Impact

Thanks to the generosity of donors, the Big Hoof Foundation has successfully saved 69 equines, including 60 Belgian Draft Horses, a quarter horse, a standardbred, a Percheron, and 6 donkeys from the brink of slaughter, offering them a safe and loving retirement home.
