Our Story

Founded in 2003, Big Car Collaborative is an interdisciplinary arts organization dedicated to socially engaged art and cultural community development. Starting as a shared studio and gallery in the vibrant Fountain Square neighborhood, Big Car has evolved into a dynamic force for community engagement through art. Under the leadership of Jim Walker and Shauta Marsh, the organization has expanded its reach, moving projects into public spaces and collaborating with local institutions like the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
