Our Story
For over a century, Big Brothers Big Sisters has transformed the lives of children through one-to-one mentoring relationships. Founded in 1904 by Ernest Coulter in New York City, the movement began with a vision to connect caring adults with at-risk youth. In 1977, the Big Brothers Association and Big Sisters International united to form Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Since 1968, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Missouri has been dedicated to supporting youth in the mid-Missouri area, fostering positive relationships that help children reach their full potential.
