Our Story

Founded in 2012 by Kristie Fisher, Big Bones Canine Rescue Service, Inc. started as a heartfelt initiative to help dogs in need. With encouragement from friends and family, Kristie transformed her boarding facility into a dedicated rescue operation. Since its inception, the organization has grown significantly, focusing on rescuing adult and senior dogs who are often overlooked.

Impact

In 2020 alone, Big Bones Canine Rescue successfully rescued nearly 2,000 dogs, with over 90% coming from high-kill shelters. This incredible achievement is made possible by a passionate team of volunteers who are committed to the care and adoption of these dogs.
