Bienvenidos Outreach

Our Story

Bienvenidos Outreach, founded by Beatrice Nevares in 1989, has been a beacon of hope for the homeless population in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Under the leadership of Susan Tarver since 2008, the organization has expanded its mission to address the growing issue of hunger in the community. In 1996, the food pantry began offering food boxes to assist not only the homeless but also low-income families in need.

Making a Difference

With generous food donations from local donors, churches, supermarkets, and the Food Depot, Bienvenidos Outreach has been able to provide vital support to those in need. The Holiday Gift Program for Children is a heartwarming initiative that allows families on the food box program to submit wish lists for their children. In December 2022, the organization successfully distributed 770 gifts to 395 children, bringing joy to many families during the holiday season.

Impact

In the fiscal year 2023, Bienvenidos Outreach provided 15,257 lunches and prepared 9,815 food boxes, demonstrating a strong commitment to alleviating hunger in the community.
