Our Story

Incorporated in 2012, Beyond Homeless was born from community discussions on addressing homelessness in Putnam County, Indiana. The Beyond Homeless Shelter opened its doors in 2014, aiming to educate the community about the multifaceted causes and consequences of homelessness. Recognizing that homelessness is not just a social issue but also an economic development challenge, Beyond Homeless strives to provide more than temporary relief. The organization focuses on stabilizing lives to pave the way for self-sufficiency.

Our Impact

Since its inception, Beyond Homeless has provided over 37,794 bed nights of shelter and assisted 1,290 men, along with offering critical support to 267 neighbors in need.
